The Super Gemini’s sound engine is incredibly powerful, offering up to 20 voices of polyphony and a wide range of sonic possibilities. With the ability to split, double, and sequence voices and timbral layers at the touch of a button, the Super Gemini provides an entire spectrum of sound opportunities. Its digital hardware oscillators are constructed with unique spectral richness and offer a plethora of tonal features, including wave morphing, cross and ring modulation, bi-directional sync, and more. These features feed into an all-analog signal path inspired by classic vintage instruments, resulting in a core sound that is rich, evolving, engaging, and addictive.
The Super Gemini offers a unique combination of sonic innovation and tactile control. It features a 61-note semi-weighted keybed with polyphonic aftertouch, as well as a custom-engineered ribbon sensor that allows for individual note articulation and gestural exploration of sound. With 256 performance and patch slots, 64 interchangeable waveforms, and 16 sequences, users can easily and safely store and edit their sounds.
As the second synth in the ‘Super’ series, the Gemini represents a significant advancement in UDO’s technology, building upon the same successful recipe implemented by George Hearn with the Super 6. The Gemini adopts a true-stereo Binaural signal path with dual FPGAs and two effects processors, offering a dynamic and immersive sonic experience with glittering frequencies and shattering subharmonics, as well as moments of comfort and discord, expectations and surprise.
