The MR3eq, initially designed for the Harrison MR3 studio console, is celebrated as one of Harrison’s top equalizer designs. Known for its powerful, smooth sound and exceptional sculpting capabilities, the MR3eq was introduced in 1981. This launch quickly established the Music Recording 3 (MR3) console as a favorite among many leading engineers and studios globally, playing a key role in producing some of the most iconic albums from the 70s and 80s. Like all Harrison production tools, the MR3 EQ offers an inspiring vibe for artists and the precision needed for engineers to achieve excellence. The MR3eq module also makes the distinctive Harrison sound accessible in the 500 Series format.

Its circuit design is ideal for precise, surgical tasks while also facilitating broad musical adjustments with considerable band interaction, resulting in a rich and vibrant sonic character.
The MR3eq is a versatile three-band parametric EQ featuring high-frequency 6 dB/octave shelf bands that can be toggled to a 2nd order bell response using Harrison’s well-regarded proportional Q. The mid-band offers a continuously variable Q, and there is a separate high pass filter section with a 3dB corner frequency. The MR3eq’s design is both flexible and powerful, making it a valuable tool for enhancing a wide variety of source materials in tracking and mixdown contexts.
