      Tweed Audio 24 Channel Recording Console (Vintage)

      Originally commissioned for Grampian TV in the 1970s, his beautiful Tweed Audio custom broadcast console features 24 channels of Class A/B Mic/Line amps (14x mic/line 10x line) with Marinair transformers, wonderful 3-band EQ with mid sweep and hi/lo filters, switchable phase, 2 x echo returns, 6 AUX sends per channel and 2x 96 point bantam patchbays. Whilst the ‘beige-hemp’ exterior might betray its vintage (in a good way, of course), its relatively compact footprint will certainly appeal to any modern-day project studio or production facility looking for a characterful front-end.

      We’ve yet to go through it properly so availability is yet undetermined, but based on our previous experience servicing Tweed consoles this desk’s classy looks will be surpassed only by its sound: that is, up front and full of character, with fantastic low-end, plenty of headroom and very musical EQ.
