SPL PQ Mastering Equaliser
PQ from SPL is acclaimed as one of the most powerful EQs available in modern studio mastering. Fully parametric, loaded with 10 bands across 5 channels, the PQ is a true testament to SPL’s attention to technical detail and commitment to world-class technology.
Built For The Mastering House
Each PQ unit is housed inside a 4U 19” rack-mountable chassis and armed with high-quality detented potentiometers, buttons and switches. Each control glides with solid precision and 41-way stepped pots allow for ease of exact recall between sessions – an indispensable feature for professional mastering tools.
Wield Complete Control
Every frequency band can be independently switched in and out with the option to switch between Constant and Proportional Q on the fly, while left-channel bypass functionality constant Q can be controlled by the right side whilst PQ is in Link mode.
PQ’s ‘1/4 Gain’ switch reduces the boost or attenuation amplitude by a factor of 3/4, changing the pot gain from a ±20dB max limit to ±5dB. With this tool, surgically minute corrections may be made to filtering to achieve the ultimate master.
Proprietary 120V Technology
Synonymous among SPL’s highest end professional audio tools, 120V ‘anti-overdrive’ technology is built in to every rail of the PQ’s circuitry allowing a healthy amount of headroom and a superior optimised dynamic range for rendering high quality audio material.
Worry-Free Automatic Bypass
Manual comparative toggling is an undisputed foe for any mastering engineer. To eliminate this, the PQ features a built-in Auto Bypass feature which switches between wet and dry signals at user-adjustable intervals, so engineers can remain in the sweet spot and get their job done.
PQ is a bullet-proof filtering tool for any mastering studio, and allows music to breath naturally completely natural while simultaneously avoiding listening fatigue
