The Mercury D Series G810 Rack System is an innovative and high-quality product that sets a new standard for performance in the ‘500 rack’ market. This rack system is the flagship product of the new Mercury D Series Line, designed by David Marquette and his team, who have over 20 years of experience in custom racking vintage modules.

One of the biggest complaints among users of ‘500 racks’ is the lack of power, especially when using non-standard products that consume more power than they should, causing problems for all other modules in the rack. However, this is not an issue with the Mercury D Series G810 Rack System.

This rack system has a power specification that is much higher than the ‘500’ standard and features the Mercury Power Regulation Circuit. This circuit is present on every channel, offering individual regulation per channel and protecting against faults or emissions from problematic modules. The Mercury D Series G810 Rack System is the first ‘500’ rack to have this feature, making it not only a better rack but a better system overall.

In addition to the Mercury Power Regulation Circuit, the Mercury D Series G810 Rack System also features the Mercury Soft Start Circuit. This circuit allows power to ramp up slowly, gradually and gently applying voltage to your expensive D Series or ‘500 Series’ modules when you power up. This is better for your modules and reduces the danger to woofers that could be damaged with ‘turn-on’ thump when part of a larger sy

The Mercury D Series G810 Rack System is built to last, featuring thick aluminum rack ears and a durable steel chassis. This construction not only provides strength but also optimum shielding for internal electronics. The rack system is engineered to be reliable and look good in your studio, but it is also built to be road-worthy.

In summary, the Mercury D Series G810 Rack System is a high-quality and innovative product that addresses the power problems in ‘500 racks’ and sets a new standard for performance. Its innovative power features and durable construction make it a great investment for any recording studio.

The Mercury D Series G810 Rack System offers several features that make the recording experience easier. The G810 Chain Switch allows for simple and convenient internal signal flow among modules. For example, if you have a mic pre in Channel 1, an EQ in Channel 2, and a limiter in Channel 3, you can plug your microphone cable into the input of Channel 1 and an XLR cable into the output of Channel 3 directly to your recording device. By engaging the Chain Switch on Channel 1 and 2, all the modules will be “Chained” together. This feature also works if you are using DB25 connectors to your patch bay. The G810 Link Switch (per channel) provides ‘Linking’ of modules that support that feature whilst the Ground Lift guarantees quiet operation in all environments.
