MELLOTRON make classic, tape based keyboards to order but offer their new digital Mellotron clone off the shelf. For anyone wanting that vintage Mellotron sound without the wait (or price tag), the 4000D offers a perfect solution.
Since its presentation in 2010 the digital Mellotron has been very popular at the trade shows Namm and Frankfurt Musikmesse, being selected as Mix Certified Hit at the 2010 NAMM show. It has been developed by us here at Mellotron. It is solely our own product and has features rarely seen in today’s keyboards.
M4000D is the most compact of the D series, with around 100 Mellotron and Chamberlain sounds onboard, an uncompromising 24-bit audio playback engine, polyphonic aftertouch (over MIDI) and dual TFT displays for modifying your sound and controlling parameters and USB and MIDI connectivity.
The new Mellotron series use digital samples for their source material, all of which is painstakingly recreated from the original tapes runs to give the most authentic sounding and feeling experience possible.
